Analytics that counts humans, not bots
TrueVisit verifies every visit to your site, names the bots it finds, and tells you exactly which traffic source sent them. It also shows which AI models are reading your content, which a JavaScript analytics script physically cannot see.
Your visitor count is probably wrong
Over 5,000 reported, 200 real
A documented 2026 self hosting case saw a site with roughly 200 real daily visitors report more than 5,000, because its analytics filtered user agents but not data center IP ranges.
95 automated sessions counted as people
In a controlled test, Google Analytics 4 recorded 95 Puppeteer sessions as real visitors. It filters only the user agents on an industry list, cannot be turned off, and never shows you what it removed.
Up to 20 percent of paid clicks
Industry estimates put click fraud at up to a fifth of pay per click budgets. If you buy traffic, that money left your account and will never convert.
How TrueVisit verifies a visit
Every visit is scored across four layers and lands in one of three classes: human, suspected bot, or confirmed bot. Never a silent yes or no, because a false positive tells you to cut a traffic source that was actually fine.
1. What it claims to be
The user agent is matched against a signature list covering AI crawlers, search engines, SEO tools, HTTP libraries, and headless browsers, plus a referrer spam blocklist.
2. Whether that claim is true
Crawler claims are checked against forward confirmed reverse DNS and the operators' published IP ranges. A Googlebot user agent from an address Google does not own is impersonation, and we say so. Data center addresses are a first class signal here, not an afterthought.
3. How the client behaved
Whether a pointer ever moved, whether a viewport exists, whether the automation flag is announced, and whether our script ran at all. A request that never runs JavaScript did not come from a reader.
4. What the session looked like
In and out in under five seconds, one page, no interaction, or a request rate no person could produce. These are the checks a media buyer already runs by hand.
Every verdict stores its reason. You are going to blacklist a traffic source based on what this tells you, and you may take it to an ad network to argue for a refund. A number with no evidence behind it is worth nothing in that conversation.
Two different AI questions, answered separately
Which models are reading my site?
GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, CCBot and the rest do not execute JavaScript. No browser based analytics tool can see them, including Google Analytics, Plausible, and Fathom. TrueVisit adds a server-side collection path, which is the only way to record a client that never runs a script.
Which models are sending me readers?
People arriving from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, or Claude. Google Analytics added an AI channel in May 2026 that skips Perplexity and every session without a referrer, so that traffic lands in direct. We recover those and label them as recovered rather than quietly counting them.
These never share a chart. An LLM reading your page and an LLM sending you a reader are different facts, and mixing them would make both numbers useless.
Bad traffic gets an address, not a percentage
Knowing that 30 percent of your traffic is bots changes nothing. Knowing that zone 4471 is 82 percent bots lets you cut it this afternoon. TrueVisit segments every verdict by source, campaign, sub ID, placement, creative, click ID, country, device, and hour, then hands you an export you paste straight into your ad network.
It sits alongside Voluum, ClickMagick, and RedTrack rather than replacing them. They track clicks, conversions, and cost. TrueVisit tells you which of it was real.
Pricing
Only human pageviews count toward your plan. Bots and AI crawlers are detected, stored, and reported, and never billed. The full detection engine is in every paid tier, including the cheapest one.
Questions people ask before signing up
How does TrueVisit detect bot traffic?
- TrueVisit scores every visit across four layers: user agent signatures, IP verification against published crawler ranges and roughly 19,000 data center ranges, behavioral signals from the page such as pointer movement and the webdriver flag, and session shape such as instant bounces and request velocity. Each visit lands in one of three classes, human, suspected bot, or confirmed bot, and every verdict stores the reason behind it.
Can analytics tools see AI crawlers like GPTBot and ClaudeBot?
- No. AI crawlers do not execute JavaScript, so a browser based analytics script never runs for them and they are invisible to Google Analytics, Plausible, and Fathom. TrueVisit adds a server-side collection path, which is the only way to record a request from a client that never runs a script.
What is the difference between AI crawler traffic and AI referral traffic?
- An AI crawler is software reading your page to train or ground a model, such as GPTBot or ClaudeBot. An AI referral is a person who clicked through to your site from an assistant such as ChatGPT or Perplexity. They are completely different facts, so TrueVisit reports them on separate screens and never adds them together.
Do bots count toward my monthly pageview limit?
- No. Only human classified pageviews count toward your plan. Bots and AI crawlers are detected, stored, and reported, and never billed. Charging more because a crawler flood hit your site would contradict the point of the product.
Does TrueVisit need a cookie consent banner?
- No. TrueVisit is cookieless and stores nothing in the browser. Visitors are counted with a daily rotating hash computed on the server, and the raw IP address is discarded after the geographic lookup.
Why do my analytics show more visitors than I actually have?
- Most general analytics tools filter only obvious bot user agents and do not exclude data center IP ranges. A documented 2026 self hosting case saw a site with about 200 real daily visitors report over 5,000. Data center IP matching is a first class signal in TrueVisit for exactly this reason.
Does TrueVisit replace my affiliate tracker?
- No. TrueVisit sits alongside Voluum, ClickMagick, and RedTrack. They handle clicks, conversions, and cost. TrueVisit tells you which of that traffic was real and which zone, placement, or sub ID sent the bots.
How much does TrueVisit cost?
- TrueVisit starts at $9 per month for 100,000 human pageviews, with Growth at $19 and Pro at $49. Every paid tier includes the full detection engine. There is a 30 day free trial and it needs no credit card.
